 MONDAY CLASSES

 YOUNG ACTOR  - grades 1-3
Class size limited to 8.
Games and skits are used to introduce aspiring actors to the craft. Learn improvisation and mime, while having a good time! New and returning students welcome. A short performance piece will be presented at the end of session.

 DYNAMIC DRAMATICS  - grades 4-7
Class size limited to 12.
Acting helps build confidence, poise and cooperation. Develop acting skills with improvisation, mime, games and skits. New and returning students welcome. A short performance piece will be presented at the end of session.

 TUESDAY CLASSES

 DRAWING FOR FUN  - grades 1-3
Class size limited to 8.
Through a variety of enjoyable exercises, children will learn ways to become more observant while learning to record visually what they experience. Explore contour drawing, shading, caricature while using different tools and materials.

 DRAWING  - grades 4-7
Class size is limited.
Architects, pilots, designers, chefs and other professionals all use drawing! Various fun exercises will help students develop the observation skills and drawing techniques used in many exciting careers. Explore contour drawing, shading, caricature,as well as techniques for achieving texture and scale.

 ACTORS WORKSHOP  - grades 6 - 12
Featuring 90 minute classes, this workshop explores a variety of acting styles and techniques. Students will choose from comedy, improv, musical theater, monologues and original works as areas of interest for the class to participate in with solo and group work. The class will culminate with a short presentation, to showcase accomplishments to families.

 WEDNESDAY CLASS

 UP CLOSE IN ART  - grades 1 - 5
By looking up close at everything from plants to animals, students will explore how nature influences art through design and color. The focus will be on composition and design with weekly projects in mixed mediums - pencil, watercolor, pastels and textiles.

 THURSDAY CLASSES

 IMPRESSIONS OF BYGONE ARTISTS  - grades 1-5
Class size limited to 8.
Using works by famous artists as a springboard for their own interpretations, students will have hands-on opportunities to approach art-making from different viewpoints, all the while appreciating some of the world's masterpieces. Early American colonial, French Impressionism and abstract styles such as pointillism, will all be introduced.

 CARTOONING  - grades 4-7
Class size is limited.
By adapting techniques of shading, composition, texture, perspective, storyboards and pacing, students will learn how to create their own cartoons! Use your imagination and artistic abilities to depict viewpoints on topical events or themes while combining storytelling with the visual arts.
