Children's Theater
Honk! Jr. for students entering grades 6 - 8

Fee: $375
Workshop begins: June 28, M - F   8:45 am - 12:15 pm (no class on July 5), Farley School, 119 Cottage Street, Hudson.
Note: The workshop moves to the 4-7 School, 25 Union Street, Marlborough for production week July 19 - July 23.
Performances: Thursday, July 22, 11 am and 7 pm and Friday, July 23, 7 pm at the 4-7 School, 25 Union Street, Marlborough.

Honk! Jr. is a musical, contemporary re-telling of the Hans Christian Andersen story “The Ugly Duckling.” Set in the countryside, it incorporates a message of tolerance.A duckling discovers his inner beauty when he becomes a swan. There are animal characters, as well as many “fowl” puns.  Music by George Stiles, Book and Lyrics by Anthony Drewe.

Little Theater 1
Aesop's Fables for students entering grade 1 - 3
Instructors:  Barbara Hall Siktberg, Stephanie Ventura
Fee: $215
July 6 to 16, M - F   9:15 am - 12:35 pm, Hudson High School, 69 Brigham Street.
Performance: Friday, July 16, 1 pm at Hudson High School (followed by Theater Too! performance of "Disney's Cinderella, Kids"). Ticket Prices: $6, includes both performances.

Both Little Theater 1 and Little Theater 2 are designed to introduce theater to children for exploration and enjoyment. Students use creative movement, singing and games in preparation for harnessing their imaginations to perform a small play on the last day of the session. Both workshops are similar in format but present different plays. The play is selected based on student enrollment. Participants may sign up for one or both sessions.

Stage Two
New Work by Stage Two Theater for students entering grade 1 - 5

Fee $215
August 2 to 13, M - F 9 am - 12 pm, Hudson High School, 69 Brigham Street.
Performance: Friday, August 13, 1 pm, Hudson High School.

This workshop gives participants the opportunity to sample all aspects of theater as they adapt a story to write their own play. Guided by staff, creative opportunities abound as participants practice writing and acting skills, and consider costume and set design issues while staging the play that they themselves develop.


Theater Too!
Disney's Cinderella, Kids for students entering grades 3 - 5

Fee: $300
June 28 to July 16, Time: M - F 9 am - 12:30 pm (no workshop July 5), JFK Middle School, 201 Manning Street, Hudson
Note: The workshop begins at the JFK Middle School in Hudson, and moves to Hudson High School for the last two workshop days, July 15 & 16, as well as for the performance.  
Performance: Friday, July 16, 1:00 pm at Hudson High School, 69 Brigham Street. (Little Theater 1 performance begins at 1 pm, followed by Theater Too!)

Disney’s Cinderella, Kids is the timeless fairy tale mixed with the magic of Disney. With easy to learn and easy to sing music, this enchanting story reminds all that dreams really can come true. After being mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, a poor girl is denied a chance to go to the Royal Ball until help comes from her Fairy Godmother and her mice friends. Cinderella meets the handsome Prince and falls in love.

Into the Woods for students entering grades 9 - 13

Into the Woods is a musical intertwining several Brothers Grimm fairy tales. It takes the classic tales a little further with the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests, thus becoming a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.
